Karim Kharbouch, known worldwide as French Montana, is a Moroccan-American rapper, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Born in Casablanca, Morocco, he immigrated to New York City at age 13 and launched his career as a battle rapper in the early 2000s under the name "Young French."
After building a grassroots following through his Cocaine City DVD series and underground mixtapes, French Montana signed a triple joint-venture deal with Bad Boy Records and Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group in 2012.
