From headline sets at Tomorrowland and EDC Las Vegas to a residency at Hï Ibiza, MORTEN has spent years building one of the most distinctive and explosive live shows in electronic music. About MORTEN

Born Morten Breum on May 26, 1982, in Aarhus, Denmark — a city steeped in Viking roots — MORTEN first fell in love with music at an after-school youth club, convincing his parents to give him his college fund early so he could buy DJ equipment. He began playing local venues in Aarhus before his breakthrough came in 2008 with the track Højere Vildere featuring Danish duo Nik & Jay, a collaboration with fellow Danish producer Rune RK — now internationally known as Kölsch. The Danish DJ Awards named him Denmark's Best DJ in 2008, 2009, and 2010. He relocated to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue his international career, and a pivotal friendship with David Guetta — sparked by his 2017 remix of Guetta's Justin Bieber collaboration 2U — led to their co-creation of the future rave genre and the 2020 four-track collaborative EP New Rave. David Guetta described their partnership as unlike anything else in dance music, and the results proved it: their collaborations landed in the top five most-played records in the world by DJs for weeks on end. In 2021, MORTEN entered the DJ Mag Top 100 as the highest new entry at number 39 and landed at number 20 on the 1001Tracklists ranking. In 2022 he played the main stages of EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland and launched his own Future Rave label. His recent releases include Hollow featuring Bonn — remixed by ARTBAT — Something to Hold On To featuring Clementine Douglas, Take Me Home featuring Bonn, and a collaboration with Diplo, BLOND:ISH, Hugel, Malou, and Yuna. A fixture on the circuit of the world's greatest festivals — including back-to-back sets at Tomorrowland 2025, EDC Las Vegas 2025, and Ultra Music Festival 2025 — MORTEN arrives at LIV at the peak of his powers.
