About Rosana: Rosana Eckert is a world-class vocalist, improviser, songwriter, arranger, and educator with an international reputation across the music industry. She has performed and recorded with Christian McBride, Bobby McFerrin, Kenny Wheeler, Marvin Stamm, the New York Voices, and was a featured vocalist on Lyle Mays' 2021 Grammy-winning composition Eberhard. Rosana's acclaimed discography includes her album Sailing Home and Brasuka's debut A Vida Com Paixão, which received widespread praise and four stars in DownBeat. She also performs with the Mike Steinel Quintet, using her voice as a horn-like improvisational instrument. A renowned educator, she is Principal Lecturer of jazz voice at the University of North Texas and an in-demand clinician, arranger, and author. Based in Dallas, she also works regularly as a studio vocalist, producer, and voice-over artist.
